About talw.media
Building people-centered, planet-minded, science-backed storytelling for communities, the planet, and the scientific community.
Built to Move Missions Forward
talw.media LLC operates as the media engine for Talmage Williams. I pair narrative strategy with production discipline so movements, brands, and platforms can communicate with clarity and credibility.
From concept through distribution, the studio embeds alongside partners to translate research, lived experience, and community priorities into cinematic stories. Each engagement is grounded in measurable outcomes and long-term stewardship.
Built on Three Pillars
Every tool we build, every story we tell, is guided by three non-negotiable principles.
People First
We center communities, elevate marginalized voices, and refuse to compromise human dignity for reach or revenue. Our work empowers creators to tell stories that matter—accessibility isn't an afterthought, it's the foundation.
In practice: I co-create with organizers, educators, and communities so lived experiences drive the narrative and lived benefits are shared. Productions prioritize accessible formats, inclusive representation, and equitable partnerships where community collaborators receive credit, compensation, and creative control.
Planet Positive
The climate crisis demands action, not platitudes. We build tools that reduce waste, support environmental storytelling, and help communities document ecological change. Every production decision asks: does this protect the Earth or extract from it?
In practice: Productions prioritize sustainable practices—efficient rendering pipelines minimize energy consumption, local crew hiring reduces travel emissions, and equipment choices favor longevity over planned obsolescence. I spotlight environmental stewardship as a core value and help scientists, advocates, and communities translate climate research into compelling narratives that drive policy and behavior change.
Science Backed
We ground our work in evidence, not hype. From user research to accessibility standards to climate data visualization—if we can't verify it, we don't ship it. Science isn't just our subject matter; it's our methodology.
In practice: Each production is grounded in research rigor—collaborating with domain experts, citing peer-reviewed sources, and following industry standards (WCAG accessibility guidelines, SMPTE timecode specifications, privacy regulations). I translate complex research into accessible stories so audiences can trust what they learn, ensuring scientific accuracy never sacrifices narrative clarity.
How We Work
Science-backed means more than good intentions—it means rigorous methodology and measurable accountability.
User Research
Direct engagement with the communities we serve—not assumptions about them. Interviews, accessibility audits, and iterative testing inform every design decision.
Standards Compliance
Adherence to established guidelines: WCAG 2.1 AA for accessibility, SMPTE timecode specifications for precision, HIPAA and privacy regulations for data protection.
Expert Collaboration
Partnership with domain experts—scientists, educators, community leaders—ensures content accuracy and cultural competence before publication.
Open Documentation
Transparent processes and public documentation allow others to verify our claims, learn from our methods, and hold us accountable.
Measurable Impact
Performance tracked through accessibility scores, audience reach, community feedback, and environmental metrics—not vanity numbers, but real outcomes.
Continuous Improvement
Regular audits, peer review, and post-project retrospectives ensure we learn from every engagement and raise the bar with each iteration.
